pause is Jo's undergraduate thesis body of work that was awarded the printmaking medal. The work explores the ways in which we form our identity in relation to others and objects. Exploring the transient quality of individuals in ones life and growth from decay. The corner table places the viewer in a marginal space in the gallery creating the conditions for quiet and slow looking, encouraging the participant to pause and spent time with the text in the books.
